Weird comp pick question.

Hello, haven't been on here in a while. I know I asked online and read the great article Pat posted, (glad a lot of it was explained/very helpful) but I'm confused about two players and possible comp returns. I only found the article, so I do apologize if it was answered elsewhere on here. Giants lost Pettis and Herendez, both considered vets, shouldn't the Giants get picks back for them? Pettis has been here for 2 or 3 years, on the practice squad and started at least one game. Figured that must be worth something back. That article was on May 7th, so Bradburry doesn't count either?

If they signed one-year Minisimum Salary benefit deals, they're not eligible to count against the formula. The formula is based on how many they lose versus how many they gain, plus how the contracts are structured.
