Daniel Jones was pressured 50% of the time when he went back to pass against Tampa Bay. That said
it's been great to see Andrew Thomas' development this year. Not sure why Matt Preat is not starting at RT
instead of Nate Solder. He could be getting valuable experience for next year.
Patricia has an excellent article in Big Blue Plus about Judge defending the Giants current version of the offensive line. Must read!
Per Judge:
"I like the way our offensive line is moving," Judge said. "They're working together, playing as a unit, and I've seen a lot of progress throughout the year. I love the job Rob and the offensive line guys are doing."
Maybe having too many guys working with the offensive line is part of the problem. I would think it might cause confusion.
" I like the way these guys have battled throughout a lot of different moving parts. They play for each other. They have a good attitude, you know. They know how to block out the noise and play for one another. I'm very proud of that unit."
As a fan I have no idea what he's talking about. The offensive line allowed Jones to be pressured on 55% of his drop backs and he thinks that fine. Was he watching the game and seeing Jones being under heavy pressure all night? Playing hard and having a good attitude is are excellent traits. Having players with talent and ability as offensive lineman are two different things. As for them playing for each other, I don't get that either?
