Absolutely. This is a quarterback driven league. Without an quality quarterback your going know where fast. The Colts went 10-6 in 2010.With the same roster minus Manning they pick 1 overall in the next years draft. The Broncos are another example. That was a stacked roster before Peyton Manning got there. Not much winning until Peyton arrived. Buccaneers without Brady similar results. They had a stacked roster but couldn’t win consistently. Get the right QB in place Super Bowl. How do you think the Rams, Packers, Chiefs etc would be without there QBs. Same roster?!?! I bet you anything they wouldn’t be in contention
You get Wilson in here with this roster the Giants will be in the hunt next year!!
You honestly think the Giants are one quarterback away from turning this team around?

They are closer then most think. Get that center and QB position fixed. Get a guard in here. Maybe a linebacker with Martinez. You be shocked Remember the right coach can get this team overachieving not underachieving. Judge has this group regressed. That’s a problem here. Player development, schemes, underachieving. That’s coaching.
You need 3 steady consistent areas to be successful. GM, head coach, quarterback.

Unfortunately I do not think the Giants have any of those

I disagree. They're not as close as you think they are.

I’m looking back on what is on the roster. Guys like Golladay etc. we all know they can play. I think there is talent on this roster. There just underachieving. That’s Judge and his staff. This roster can win. Yes the Oline needs help. This is a very good draft in the trenches. Draft a few big guys, bring in a QB and bring in a veteran HC this team can compete.

They need new tight ends, and a pass rusher. I'm not sure they're a quarterback away.

I was in reference to the trade for Wilson. If the Giants did pull the trigger and trade both our 1st round picks for Wilson. Round 2 grab a guard round 3 center. Deep deep TE class. There are several in this group. Giants can get a quality kid day 3. I don’t no! I think they can flip this thing quickly with a trade for Wilson and a good draft.

I strongly believe the top priority (even over QB) is developing a very strong OL.

Use both first round picks to add OL.

Worst case scenario, one of the first round picks on a OL and the second round pick on an OL.

The OLine MUST be addressed. The entire offense suffers/benefits off of the OL play.

Maybe. Doubt they will go that direction. Especially with a strong pass rush and linebacker class including Corner

Wilson has kept Seattle in games with a line equally as bad as we have in NY . We need a scheme that utilizes the talent the team has and assistants that cultivate what we have on the roster. The nfc east is average at best and with right coach, scheme and good draft we could be back in the race in 2 seasons easily.

Those teams were a QB away for winning. The Giants roster isn't QB away from making the playoffs.
Put Jones in modern offensive. and maybe the Giants get the 2019 Daniel Jones who had a bright future. IMHO they can turn it around in 2-3 years by getting out of cap hell, bad contracts and have 2 good drafts.

No! Besides the exorbitant hit on the salary cap and the cost in draft picks, consider that you will be placing a 34 year old QB behind an offensive line with players (exception of Thomas, Gates if he returns) whose post football career jobs will be as turnstiles in the New York subway system. I know Wilson is good at escaping pressure, but he's not Houdini!

At 34 years old I doubt Houdini would be able to escape the pressure. According to Nick Gates himself saying he may not be back 2022 leaves the Giants in a tough sport.

You can't say get position X in round Y. You end up forcing picks. Giants do not need to be chasing short term success at the expense of the future by trading away valuable first round picks. As Patricia keeps repeating, Giants are not a QB away from contention. Plus, Giants are already in cap hell. How are they going to absorb Wilson's salary?
