I *LOVE* This choice for a potential Giants UFA signing....Your thoughts?

Daniels seems to be a great fit for the Giants, assuming that his price is reasonable. Would love to see the Giants get one of the premier tackles, then Linderbaum (I know, I've been screaming for Linderbaum) in the first round. I believe Linderbaum is the best Olineman in the entire draft, regardless of position. He'll improve both guard positions. My fear is that the Giants won't use both first round picks on the Oline and will lose Linderbaum. I realize they need an edge rusher, but I don't see any edge rusher as a generational talent like Linderbaum. Draft day can't get here soon enough.

I hear what you're saying about Linderbaum. I think he's a generational talent also. He seems to be dropping in the ratings. The reason is probably because he's 6-3 & 290 Lbs. He's only been playing center for 2yrs at offensive lineman U (Iowa). He not going to be for everyone because he's not 6-5 315 Lbs. I think the Giants should and hopefully will draft him. I would compare Linderbaum to Jason Kelce the Eagles center. Kelce who's 6-3 and 295 was drafted in the 6 Rd. has been a 5 time Pro Bowler and a 4 time 1st team All Pro. I think Linderbaum has the potential to be that type of player. Also, I think he should be the Giants 1st offensive lineman drafted because of his talent and he makes the whole line better JMHO.

I have heard the same disparaging remarks about Linderbaums weight, the thinking that he may be undersized. I also recall hearing those same comments about Aaron Donald, too small to play inside. How'd that work out! I'm still upset the Giants passed over Donald for Beckham. Not a knock on Beckham, but wide receivers don't win titles. Blocking and pass rush wins titles.

Im liking a vet free agent like Bozeman at center he has the experience to make the line calls or Ben Jones at center and adding Zion Johnson to the draft and maybe take a flyer on one of the big boys Jurgens, Fortner or Ed Ingram . I think piss poor coaching attributed to the floundering o line last season and getting someone in their with experience will be an immense improvement

I think it was the case the year before, as well. Was it a matter of Joe Judge not being able to attract good coaches or him not being able to identify good coaching?

Agree with everything you said except for making Linderbaum our first pick. No way should we draft him if either of the two tackles Neal or Ekwonu are there.

I would pick Sauce Gardner CB as my 1st pick in the first round. A shut down corner is too good to pass up IMHO. I think I posted that in another section. I would take Linderbaum as the 1st offensive lineman the Giants draft. I believe he's a generational talent who could be the anchor of the Giants line for a decade.

I have some concerns about both Neal and Ekwonu. Neal's weight is a concern. Ekwonu has played LT in college, but he's been projected as a guard in the NFL. Similar to Zack Martin from ND. His run blocking is fantastic, but his pass blocking seems to need work JMHO. As a Guard I think he's like Zack Martin Pro Bowl and All Pro for many years! That doesn't make me right, but that's what I think.

Considering the problems this team has had along the interior, I wouldn't be totally against going with Ickey Ekwonu if he's there and they want to move him inside.

I like Linderbaum also but aside from weighing only 290 lbs. he has very short arms. That makes two knocks against the Rimington Award winner and possibly enough to scare some teams. We need heft and power to open holes for Saquon.

Linderbaum is the highest rated center in the PFF history. I don't see the knocks dropping him that far in the 1st round. If some teams get scared off that may be a plus for a the Giants.

I like Gardner but would hate to pass up on either Neal or Ekwonu with our #5 pick. Gardner is getting a lot of mention. He's not likely to be there for our #7.
I wonder how the new GM and coaches feel about prioritizing a prized tackle or a lock-down corner?
