Adam Schefter reports the Giants are leaning toward keeping both head coach Joe Judge and quarterback Daniel Jones after this season. Should they though?

I guess I'm a gluton for punishment. I would bring them all back. Gettlemen included.
The O-Line and this season have been a complete failure.
Daniel Jones average at best, when healthy
Barkley a big disappointment
The Wide Receivers have been no-shows.
Defensively they have treaded water after a slow start
Judge (and the teams performance) has gotten worse, week by week.
It is ALMOST to the point where they HAVE TO fire Judge, even though they don't want to. Then that post-game press conference as the cherry on top. Just a complete embarrassment.
All of that said, I believe it is either you keep them all or fire them all. I would like to see Judge and Jones get one more season.

Hey, I can totally see the argument for cleaning house. It would be totally justified.
I don't think it's going to happen though.

Couldn't agree more! If he stays, he can't have his cronies from college. That hasn't worked.
They also need a young creative Offensive Coordinator. Proven veteran O-line coach etc.
I would keep Jones simply because this a mediocre quarterback draft class and the idea of an Aaron Rodgers/Russell Wilson trade and subsequent extension is just too cost-prohibitive to realistically justify.
Now, Judge, I would've begrudgingly accepted the idea one one more season prior to his rambling on Sunday. But I feel like that was the telltale sign that he's in over his head and floundering. He's still trying to sell us on hope, but eventually we need to see true and concrete evidence that this team is going to get better, and we just haven't. And he's now deflecting because he's grasping at straws.
I just hope that Mara and Tisch stay out of the new hire's way and let's them do as they see fit, because the apparent "Giant's Way" isn't working one bit right now.

If Judge is retained, he needs to let that offensive coordinator and the other coaches' coach. If he wants to be the CEO head coach, he can't coach every position himself. He needs to let competent coaches' do their jobs without interference. He needs to hire different coaches with modern visions on how to turn the team around.
I think Garrett was more of a Mara stop gap idea , someone with head coaching experience in case Judge floundered worse ..[how much worse] I dont know. The wall between the Judge boys and the oline coach Garrett brought in showed further how Joe isolated himself from the offense

Garrett was the scapegoat. Kinchens (sp?) hasn't done anything better IMO. Granted, playiboth have been playing a game of chess without all the pieces.
And I remember when fans couldn't wait to see Garrett launched...

Firing Garret who I like may not have reflect well on Judge for several reasons. Kitchens has been really bad in his 4 games as OC. That's going to be on Judge since he promoted him to that position.
If Judge is retained as coach, he's going to have make major changes to his coaching staff. I not so sure he can handle that.
He's going to have no choice unless he wants to struggle again next year.

Not sure what good it would do to see the Giants struggle next year because they kept Judge.
The Giants have a chance for new beginning. I hope they don't blow it.
Really depends on how Mara views this season. There were a lot of injuries. But that said, the Titans had the same situation and they survived.

On Oct 11 in "State of Giants" I had this post:
"As each week passes John Mara has to realize that 3-4 win season becomes more of a reality. Giants fans deserve better. No sugar coating it. Since the beginning of the 2017 NFL season the Giants have had the worst record in the NFL. Can't write this season off to injuries. If anything he should want to know why those injuries happened. Can't blame the O-Line as it wasn't addressed in free agency or the draft.
He also needs to ask himself another question. The Giants will probably have two top ten picks in 2022 NFL draft. Are his current Head Coach and GM the right people to make those picks.
Whatever John Mara decides I hope it will restore "Giants Pride". Giant fans have waited long enough and deserve it".
I really hope Mara doesn't go down the injury road in keeping Judge. All teams have injuries and to key players, but the really good teams have the backups who can step in contribute at a high level. Something the Giants haven't done.

I mean, if they can get in a proven coach.....Say Harbaugh....you gotta do it.
I don't think Harbaugh is going to enter the picture here.
