I'm a newbie to Locked on Giants. Also, I'm a senior citizen, Giants fan, at the tender age of 77, ergo my time is running out just waiting for a 500 season. I'll say this for all the younger fans in Giant's Nation, you finally have somethig to root for going forward. My highs with the Gmen have been exhilarating!
But, my lows outweigh the highs. I have been a fan since 1952 sitting on my dad's lap watching with a child's excitement on that old Zenith black and white. From the 50's to 63 there was always hope with the highs outweiging the lows, for sure.
Sport is life, they have ups and downs. But, here's where the downs become horrific: 1964-1883 19 years of bad football, 2012-2021 9 years of bad football. That's 57 years of which 28 of those years were bad football, 49%. Time is running out for me. Here's what bothers me... there was never a time when the last two GM's were this incompetent, especially Gettlemen; and ownership allowed him to rape this football team. I may be wrong but has any GM MISSAPPROPRIATED MONIES and couldnt evaluate talent for Pop Warner football this ugly!? Ownership can't even pay for draft choices as the team has to be gutted so the new GM CAN SPRINKLE MAGIC for the future of the team. I retired to Florida in 2020 and I could always count on watching the Gmen every Sunday Until 7 years ago. If it wasn't for Sunday and Thursday night football plus a game here and there with the Cowboys or Eagles they'd never be on; and then I'd shut the damn game off.
So now we go through a season recovery. My hope is ownership stays the hell away from football operations as we await the prognosis for the highs to return.
I must say I'm excited about the present group running "our" team!
