General Thoughts and Observations

I think Judge does hold himself accountable I've yet to hear him throw anyone under the bus.
After the Tampa Bay game not only did Judge fire Jason Garrett, but threw his coaches under the bus.
The coaches didn't put the players in a position to succeed. That's interesting as its the players who get paid to go out and make plays. I wonder who comes up with the weekly game plans?

As a Giants fan, I was so proud of Michael Strahan on Sunday during his number retirement ceremony.

When he thanked the John Mara and Steve Tisch and their families a few fans booed. He showed why he was such a respected team leader. He didn’t shy away from the moment. He said ““I’ve got to say this: Every team has their ups and downs,” Strahan said to the crowd. “But the New York Giants have won Super Bowls. There are teams that never have. Appreciate what you got. We will be back! We will be up again! I guarantee you that!”
That’s why he’s not just a Hall Fame player, but a Hall Fame person!

It seems like this year the Giants had more key players suffer hamstring injuries. Especially among Wide Receivers.

What's that about? Any thoughts?
I personally think it's a combination of guys over training and working with trainers who are general specialists rather than football people.

As I stated in another post, they need to get to bottom of what causing injuries at such a high rate It seems like been a problem for almost 10 years.
I've got that project on my desk. Sit tight. I'm one person and can only do so much in a day. But when I do get to that project, I want to make sure I do it correctly.

Last night's GB Packers SF 49er game made me think of 2007 playoff game when the Giants played the Packers. It's shame it wasn't the Giants playing and beating GB last night. Then reality sets in.

I don't know why so many NE assistants are hired as head coaches. Track record hasn't been that good.
Some NE assistants who are hired as head coaches want to be GMs also. That usually doesn't work out.
I often wonder if the people doing the hiring are thinking they're going to get Belichick instance of one of his assistants.

With regard to Henry’s mock draft, there is a lot to like. I follow college prospects and have a computer list of over 300 players so I am already focused on the 2022 draft for the Giants. Henry has selected 3 offensive lineman, including Tyler Linderbaum, a terrific center prospect, and J Saylor a very underrated Georgia OT/guard. He’s added an edge, LB, and TE, all positions of need. Each of those players are really good, and would be possible starters. I give Henry an A for this mock. The only two positions of need he neglected are RB and WR.

That sounds really impressive. The draft is always fun especially when the Giants get it right.

I am little confused. If could please let me know where Henry's mock draft is I would appreciate it.

Hoping that Daboll gets the head coaching job.

Looking forward to it!
Today Lawrence Tynes made the following statement regarding the Giant's injuries:
"He (Schoen) won’t have to look real hard or long, just ask the vets. These men were over worked, I know this for a fact." I felt that Judge said the right things on injuries, but IMHO some players were rushed back.

That may explain the last two years, but Schoen really needs to dive into this issue since it goes back about 10 years.

Looking forward to Pat's piece on this issue when she has the time!
